Aside from providing “the grunt”, we bring decades of specialist lifting and long-lining expertise to every heli-logging and heavy lifting job, and offer end-to-end project management.

Our work’s included lifting maximum weight construction materials down the Marlborough Sounds, and precision placement at a hillside build, which featured on Grand Designs. Our team’s worked extensively on the West Coast’s Paparoa Track lifting machinery and construction materials, we’ve carefully removed fallen logs from amidst native forest, and lifted earthmoving equipment to and from otherwise-inaccessible sites.

We partner with other parties, too, to make big projects come together and succeed. For example, we collaborated with the forestry and milling sector in the wake of the Covid lockdown.

With Southern Heli LIft as project managers, our joint team felled and heli-logged around 3000 tonne of Douglas fir from the Bruce Stream plantation at Bealey Spur, near Arthur’s Pass. It was trucked out and delivered to several South Island sawmills, before being put to great use in the Kiwi building industry.
